I’m late again, but wanted to let people know about the September/October 2011 issue of Northern Gardener. This gorgeous cover shows how you can use echoing colors and forms to create a more unified garden. Veteran garden writer Susan Davis Price explains more in an article in the issue.
Other informative stories include advice from Marge Hols on how to use dwarf evergreens well in a perennial border and Julie Scouten’s cute story about the garden she designed for her toddler granddaughter. Earlier this month, I had a chance to visit Julie’s garden and the toddler garden was sweet. (The rest of the garden was just plain amazing.) Inside the issue is a story by Northfield nursery owner Leif Knecht about how to move trees and shrubs successfully. Great reading for these cooler fall nights!
