Northfield-area gardeners should mark their calendars for 7 p.m. Thursday when Eric Johnson, a garden and graphic designer, will talk at the Northfield Library about how to get a big impact out of small gardens. I’ve known Eric for five years now because he is a regular contributor to Northern Gardener as well as our Obsessions columnist. (His columns profile gardeners and their obsessions and are always fun and informative.) Eric cultivates a small space garden in Minneapolis, which he often photographs for his articles. Whether your interest is in containers, small-space vegetables, or giving your small garden an artistic look, check out Eric’s talk this Thursday.
The event is part of the library’s 100th anniversary in the Carnegie building. Don’t forget to attend other anniversary events as well.
