Imagine my surprise yesterday when I looked out at the front garden bed — an area that had been under two feet of snow about a week ago — to see this fine stand of tulip foliage. It will be a month or six weeks until these bloom, but the sighting of the tulip foliage is always heartening. I thought this might be a bit ahead of previous years, but after checking the blog, I discovered I wrote about tulip foliage sightings almost exactly one year ago.
